Crew Leader

Job Description

As a crew leader, you will be responsible for understanding the entire project scope and can appropriately delegate tasks to ensure work completion. Ideal candidates have:

  • Strong communication and team-building skills.

  • Can direct equipment and resources.

  • Engages in clear communication with project managers.

  • Establishes a daily plan and coordinates the tasks of the construction crew.

  • Plans work in an efficient and effective order, maximizing progress in a safe and timely manner.

  • Can competently use the required equipment and tools for each project.

  • Reads and interprets project plans and specifications.

  • Works in a safe and responsible manner.

  • Understanding what the client or company wants to achieve

  • Communicating with staff at every level, in a calm, personable way

  • Overseeing several tasks at the same time

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the utility construction sector

  • Pre-employment and random drug screening

  • Ability to read blueprints

  • Knowledge of utility construction processes

  • Knowledge of heavy equipment

  • Time management

  • Supervisory skills

  • Valid Driver’s license

  • Commercial Driver’s License preferred

  • Or be able to obtain a CDL within 180 days of employment
