Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Description

As a heavy equipment operator, you will be responsible for running several pieces of equipment within our fleet at a high level of proficiency. The ideal candidate:

  • Safely and efficiently operate equipment used in utility construction, including, but not limited to Horizontal Directional Drills, Plows, Tractor Loader Backhoe’s, Excavators, Hydro Excavators, and other equipment to support a variety of operations

  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as required

  • Knowledgeable understanding of utility construction

  • Support and comply with all components of the Company’s safety program

  • Regular physical and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position

Qualifications

  • 3 years experience operating heavy equipment

  • Pre-employment and random drug screening

  • Knowledge of utility construction processes

  • Valid Driver’s license with CDL certification

  • Or be able to obtain CDL within 180 days of employment

  • Meet the physical requirements of the role which includes occasional lifting up to 70 pounds, bending, kneeling, and twisting throughout the work period. Occasional long-term standing, sitting, and walking during work.
